Marcasite (speciality)

Not all watch faces are made of silver or gold, and our specialty watch face selection includes marcasite watch faces. A marcasite watch face can look much like an antique silver watch face, only, because the metal is more fragile and delicate, the surface of the watch face appears thinner and more detailed. Our marcasite watch faces are the most detailed antique watch faces we carry, although we carry marcasite watch faces with modern and contemporary styles, as well. The edges on these antique style watches ranging from simple beading watch faces to more ornate, etched patterns on the surface of the metal, while a modern or contemporary marcasite watch face has a smooth surface, much like a silver watch face, with slight ornamentation. All marcasite watch faces, in addition, are beading watch faces with one or two holes.
